How to store geomembrane?

Geomembrane storage should be avoided from direct sunlight, chemical contact, sharp objects, reasonable stacking, regular inspection and maintenance, etc.

The following matters need to be noted when storing geomembranes to ensure their stable performance and quality safety:

1.Avoid direct sunlight: Geomembranes should be stored in places that avoid direct sunlight, because long-term sunlight exposure will cause the geomembrane material to age and reduce its physical and mechanical properties.

Curtains, sunshade nets or other sunshade facilities should be used in the warehouse to reduce the intensity of sunlight exposure to the geomembrane.

2.Moisture-proof and moisture-proof: The warehouse where the geomembrane is stored should be kept dry to avoid the influence of rain, ground moisture, etc. on the geomembrane.

Laying sleepers in the warehouse to raise the height and spreading double-layer plastic sheets on the wooden boards can effectively isolate the ground moisture.

3.Avoid contact with chemicals: Chemicals that can react with geomembranes should be kept away from the storage area to avoid damage to the geomembrane.

The storage area should be equipped with obvious signs prohibiting fireworks and equipped with fire prevention equipment.

6.Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect the stored geomembranes, and deal with damaged or aged geomembranes in time.

For geomembranes that have not been used for a long time, they should be turned over and dried regularly to maintain their stable performance.

7.Temperature control: Generally speaking, geomembranes should be stored in an environment with suitable temperature and good ventilation to avoid adverse effects of excessively high or low temperatures on geomembranes.

8.Clear identification: For geomembranes of different specifications and models, obvious identification signs should be set in the storage area for easy distinction and management.
