In tailings ponds, HDPE geomembrane is used for bottom and slope anti-seepage to prevent heavy metals and other harmful substances in tailings from leaking and polluting soil and groundwater. It is widely used in tailings ponds of non-ferrous metal mines such as gold and copper mines.

In the reinforcement of tailings dams, geogrids can be laid on the dam body to enhance soil stability and resist sliding force; they can be used for mine tunnel reinforcement to increase the cohesion and friction of surrounding rocks and prevent tunnel deformation and collapse.

When geocells are used to reinforce tailings dams, they can form a three-dimensional constraint structure to constrain filling materials and improve the strength of the dam body; in the protection of waste rock pile slopes, after filling with suitable materials, they can fix waste rocks on the slope surface to prevent rolling.

In the shaft support of mine construction, non-woven geotextiles can remove groundwater around the shaft wall and reduce the impact of water pressure on the shaft wall; in the waste rock dump, it can be laid at the bottom or inside as a drainage layer to remove water in time and reduce the risk of landslides.

Geosynthetic Clay Liner(GCL) play an anti-seepage role in the mining industry and can be used in conjunction with geomembranes or as an anti-seepage layer alone to enhance the anti-seepage effect, effectively prevent tailings leachate from leaking into the surrounding soil and groundwater, prevent soil pollution and groundwater pollution, and protect the surrounding ecological environment.
