How to lay grass grid?

The laying of grass grids requires certain steps and precautions. The following are the specific laying methods:
1. Base treatment
Native soil compaction: First, the original foundation needs to be compacted to ensure that the ground is flat and solid, without looseness and depression.
Crushed stone cushion: A layer of crushed stone is laid on the compacted foundation. The crushed stone should be evenly distributed and compacted to a dense state.
Other base treatments: According to specific needs, you can also add layers such as melon seed slices and concrete foundations to enhance the stability and bearing capacity of the base. At the same time, ensure that the surface of the base is flat, and it is best to have a drainage slope of 1% to 2%.
2. Grass grid laying
Preparation for laying: Before laying the grass grid, you need to clean the debris and dust on the surface of the base to ensure that the laying surface is clean and tidy.
Grass grid paving: Start laying the grass grid from one end to ensure that the grass grids are nested and interlocked with each other, leaving no gaps in the middle. During the paving process, use a small roller or a flat vibrator to compact the surface of the grass grid back and forth until the surface of the grass grid reaches a horizontal state.
Joint treatment: When laying multiple layers of grass grids, the joints of the upper and lower layers should be staggered alternately, and the staggered distance should not be less than 0.5 meters to enhance the overall stability.
3. Backfilling of planting soil and laying of turf
Backfilling of planting soil: Sprinkle planting soil in the concave planting groove of the grass grid, and sweep it evenly into the holes of the grass grid with a broom. The height of the soil layer is based on 5~10 mm below the plane of the grass grid to ensure that the turf can grow smoothly.
Turf laying: Choose turf that is resistant to trampling and easy to grow (such as Manila grass), and compact it on the planting soil. When laying turf, leave a gap of about 20 mm and stagger the paving in a herringbone shape.
4. Maintenance and management
Watering and maintenance: After the turf is laid, it needs to be watered and maintained immediately to ensure that the turf can quickly adapt to the new environment and grow.
Regular mowing: The lawn needs to be mowed 4 to 6 times a year to keep it beautiful and tidy.
Weed removal: Remove weeds in time to prevent them from affecting the growth and beauty of the turf.
Fertilization and watering: During the growth of the turf, regular fertilization and watering are required to provide sufficient nutrients and water.
5. Precautions
Material selection: The grass grid should be made of high-strength, anti-aging and corrosion-resistant materials to ensure its service life and stability.
Drainage treatment: When laying the grass grid, ensure that the base layer drains smoothly to avoid water accumulation and damage to the turf.
