When laying waterproof boards, you need to clean the ground first, then position them according to the design and measurement requirements, lay the waterproof boards flat and close to the ground, fix them with special glue, nails and other tools to ensure that the joints are sealed and waterproof, and finally lay the protective layer and inspect and accept them.
How to lay drainage board?
The laying of drainage board is a process involving multiple steps and details. The following is a detailed laying method:
1. Preliminary preparation
Site preparation:
Clean the work area, remove surface debris, and ensure that the ground is flat, dry, and free of sharp objects.
Perform foundation assessment to ensure that the construction area is stable and meets the requirements for laying drainage board.
Design and measurement:
Determine the layout spacing, direction and laying method (such as longitudinal, transverse, staggered or combined laying) of the drainage board according to the design drawings and engineering requirements.
Use measuring tools to mark the laying position and direction of the drainage board, which usually follows the layout principle from high to low and from center to edge.
2. Hole punching and laying
Hole punching:
Use a puncher or excavator to drill holes where the drainage board needs to be laid. The hole diameter should be slightly larger than the size of the drainage board so that the drainage board can be smoothly inserted and fit tightly to the ground.
Put in the drainage board:
Put the pre-processed drainage board into the hole, ensuring that the drainage board is parallel to the ground and in close contact, avoiding distortion or tilting.
When the long sides of the drainage board are connected in the vertical direction, the geotextile should be pulled apart so that the upper and lower bottom plates overlap at the conical boss, and then covered with the geotextile.
3. Fixation and connection
Fixation:
Use geotextile, plastic film, special glue or steel nails and other tools to fix the drainage board on the foundation to ensure its stability.
Seal the joints to prevent rainwater or groundwater from seeping in.
Connection:
If it is a multi-layer drainage structure or requires large-area paving, adjacent drainage boards need to be effectively connected, such as overlapping, welding or using special joint tools.
The overlap width should not be less than the specified value (such as 100mm) to ensure the drainage effect.
4. Protective layer and inspection and acceptance
Protective layer laying:
Cover a protective layer on the top of the drainage board, such as soil, gravel or geomembrane, to prevent the soil from directly contacting the drainage board and reduce wear.
The laying of the protective layer should be flat, wrinkle-free, and meet the design requirements.
Inspection and acceptance:
After the construction is completed, conduct a quality inspection to confirm that the drainage board is laid flat, the drainage effect is good, the hole position is correct and meets the design standards.
Check whether the drainage board is in close contact with the foundation, whether the fixation is reliable, and whether the connection parts are waterproof.
5. Precautions
During the laying process, pay attention to safe operation and follow relevant construction specifications.
Drainage boards should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment to prevent exposure to the sun and away from fire.
When laying, it should be flat and natural, along the slope or according to the direction of water flow.
For large projects or complex structures, professional construction teams may be required to ensure the quality of the project.
