Geomembrane plastic welding rod is a solid round product made by extruding PE resin, and its color is generally black. It has extremely strong chemical stability and can resist corrosion from various corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents within a certain temperature and concentration range; it is tasteless, non-toxic, odorless, non-corrosive and has a certain mechanical strength. Therefore, HDPE sheets and plates are widely used.

The main function of geomembrane welding rod is to connect geomembranes to ensure their waterproof and anti-seepage performance. ‌

Geomembrane welding rods are usually used to connect geomembranes, especially in the connection of vertical anti-seepage walls, upper and lower capping platforms and other parts. It melts the surface of the anti-seepage membrane by heating, and then fuses it together under pressure to form a sealed weld to ensure the waterproof and anti-seepage effect. ‌

Types and characteristics of geomembrane welding rods
1. There are two main types of geomembrane welding rods: hot melt welding and extrusion welding. ‌
2. Hot melt welding: The surface of the anti-seepage membrane is melted by heating, and then pressurized to fuse it together. This method is suitable for large-area anti-seepage membrane welding, with high welding strength and good sealing. ‌
3‌. Extrusion welding: Use welding rods to weld the anti-seepage membrane together under a certain pressure and temperature. This method is easy to operate and is suitable for corners and repairs where hot melt welding is not easy to use. ‌
