The geomembrane E-lock is a structural component used to connect geomembrane and concrete. It is the best product for connecting with concrete in various geomembrane anti-seepage projects and is widely used in anti-seepage projects that require high-strength connections.
Welding of E-type lock and geomembrane is a relatively complex but critical process. The following are detailed welding steps and precautions:
I. Preparation before welding
1. Material preparation:
Ensure that the materials of E-type lock and geomembrane are compatible. Usually, E-type lock and geomembrane made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) are used for welding.
Prepare the tools required for welding, such as hot air welding gun, KS glue, cleaning cloth, etc.
2. Environmental preparation:
Ensure that there is no oil, dust, sand, dew and other debris at the welding site to avoid affecting the welding quality.
When welding, appropriate temperature and environmental conditions should be selected to avoid welding in extreme weather.
II. Welding steps
1. Installation of E-type lock:
When pouring concrete, reserve a groove according to the position of the E-type lock buckle.
When anti-seepage construction is to be carried out, the E-type lock buckle is embedded in the groove, and concrete is poured again to form it so that the E-type lock is fixed on the surface of the building.
2. Geomembrane laying and cleaning: Lay the geomembrane above the E-lock to ensure that the welding surface of the geomembrane and the E-lock are in good contact. Use a cleaning cloth to clean the welding surface of the geomembrane and the E-lock to remove oil, dust and other debris.
3. Hot air welding: Use a hot air welding gun to preheat the welding surface of the geomembrane and the E-lock to reach the appropriate welding temperature. Aim the nozzle of the hot air welding gun at the welding surface and perform extrusion welding to make the geomembrane and the E-lock tightly connected. During the welding process, pay attention to controlling the welding speed and temperature to avoid defects such as slip welding and skip welding.
4. KS glue bonding: On the basis of hot air welding, KS glue can be used to further strengthen the welding joint. Apply KS glue evenly on the welding joint to ensure that the glue liquid is fully penetrated and solidified. III. Inspection and maintenance after welding 1. Weld inspection: After welding is completed, the weld should be carefully inspected to ensure that the weld is neat and beautiful, without defects such as slip welding and skip welding. If any problems are found in the weld, they should be repaired or re-welded in time.
Ⅲ. Maintenance management:
Inspect and maintain the welding joints regularly to ensure that they are in good condition.
If the welding joints are found to be aging, damaged, etc., they should be replaced or repaired in time.
IV. Precautions
1. Safe operation:
During the welding process, pay attention to safe operation to avoid high-temperature tools such as hot air welding guns causing harm to the human body.
When using KS glue, be careful to avoid splashing glue into sensitive parts such as eyes or skin.
2. Quality control:
During the welding process, parameters such as welding speed, temperature and pressure should be strictly controlled to ensure welding quality.
Test welding should be carried out before welding, and parameters should be adjusted according to the test welding results.
3. Environmental requirements:
When welding, avoid wet environments such as rainy days and dew to avoid affecting the welding quality.
If welding is required in special environments, appropriate protective measures should be taken.
